    The Tragedy of Hamlet

Long ago in the Kingdom of Denmark, there lived a powerful and wealthy king. He was a wise king and much loved by his people. It was a great tragedy of them when he died suddenly. According to the report from the king's brother, he had been bitten by a poisonous snake while sleeping in the palace garden. Although many doubted this as the cause of the king's death, no one could produce evidence to prove otherwise. Therefore, the king's brother Claudius succeeded his throne and married his wife, Getrude. Claudius became the new king and Getrude became the new Queen of Denmark.
Prince Hamlet was the deceased king's son. At that time, he was away at a university, studying and preparing to take the rule of the country. He made some close friends there. And Horatio was one of them. Prince Hamlet lived a happy and successful university life, never thinking that a disaster would befall him so suddenly.
When Prince Hamlet heard the news of his father's sudden death, he rushed home to attend the funeral. He also intended to investigate and find the real cause of his father's death. He did not believe for a moment that his father was killed by a poisonous snake. He suspected that his uncle Claudius had murdered his father. He even suspected his mother Getrude was an accomplice. Thinking that his closest relatives could have murdered his father, grieved Hamlet deeply.
